The Board of Professional Entrance Examinations is saddled with the responsibility of conducting entrance tests for the following professional courses:

1.    Postgraduate Medical Degree and Diploma courses;
2.    Postgraduate courses in Agricultural Sciences;
3.    MBBS and BDS;
4.    Veterinary Sciences courses;
5.    B.Sc. Agriculture/B.Sc. Forestry
6.    Engineering courses,
7.    Teacher Education ;
8.    Diploma courses in Polytechnics.
9.    Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medical Sciences (BAMS).
10.  Bachelor of Unani Medical Sciences (BUMS).

        Further, under the Act the Government can prescribe any other course as a professional course for which the Board shall have to conduct Entrance Test for admission purposes. The Board organizes entrance tests yearly for about 16000 students for admission to various professional courses. The number of students is increasing every year.
